Objective:
As the face of the company and the only true form of swissbäkers advertising, it is important for the guest huggers to truly make all our guests feel at home. The guest huggers are responsible for serving, explaining, and understanding all the products served in our restaurants. The guest huggers are a substantial part of the co-entrepreneur family that truly understand the quality and culture we are showing others at swissbäkers.

Responsibilities:

HUG our guests as soon as they walk through our doors

  • Learn about swissbakers products
  • Operate cash register
  •  Replenish product as needed
  • Train and assist with new co-entrepreneurs as needed

Baker

Objective:
As the creators of all things food related at swissbäkers, the shakers are responsible for maintaining the high quality Swiss food that the company is known for as well as continuing to live the co-entrepreneurial lifestyle we teach one another. The high quality and presentation of the product, maintained by the shakers is something that heightens the guest’s swissbäkers experience.

swissbäkers credo is no artificial additives or ingredients, all handmade, and we can tell you that each product you buy was baked that morning. Everything we do is checked on its “grand – child – sustainability”.

Responsibilities:

  • Mixes and bakes ingredients according to recipes to produce breads, pastries and other baked goods
  • Measures flour, sugar, and other ingredients to prepare batters, doughs and fillings. Using scale and graduated containers
  • Dumps ingredients into mixing-machine bowl or steam kettle to mix or cook ingredients according to specifications
  • Rolls, cuts, and shapes dough to form sweet rolls, tarts, cookies and related products preparatory to baking
  • Places dough in pans, molds, or on sheets and bakes in oven
  • Observes color of products being baked and turns thermostat or other controls to adjust oven temperature
  • Applies glaze or other toppings to baked goods, using spatula or brush
  • May specialize in baking one type of product, such as breads, rolls, tarts, or cakes
  • May decorate cakes
  • May develop new recipes for cakes and other baking goods for management approval

Objective:
As swissbakers we pride ourselves in bringing the full swissbakers experience to our guests as needed. The sales co-entrepreneurs use their creative and efficient work ethic to ensure that all guests are blown away by the experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors
  • Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor
  • Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers
  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans and monthly and annual territory analyses
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommends changes in products, service and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
  • Resolves customers complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educations workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales

Admin

Objective:
The Office Administrative Assistant provides support to office crew members. This is the first impression, over the phone, for all callers/guests. This is a central point of contact for questions related to orders, callers, crew members, etc. The position will have to manage basic bookkeeping (AP/AR), and have knowledge of QuickBooks, and support HR. It is currently a part time job with a minimum of 5 hours, 5 days a week, with the potential to become a full time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer all incoming telephone calls, take message, direct phone call to appropriate individual
  • Manage all in house ordering to vendors:
  • Staples and frequently First Aid supplies
  • Uniform Company – shirts, chef jackets, hats, name tags, etc.
  • Business cards, marketing materials, etc.
  • Manage office inventories
  • Staples, first aid supplies, etc.
  • Update in-house documents as needed
  • To do lists, labels, signs, inventory sheets, etc.
  • Organize corporate server folders
  • Delete duplicate files
  • Manage naming & placement of files
  • HR Tasks as assigned
  • Create appropriate orientation packets for new hires
  • Maintain orderly and complete co-entrepreneur files
  • Prepare payroll reports on a bi-weekly basis
  • Accounting Tasks as assigned
  • Preparing bank deposits, deposit money and get change
  • Inputting data daily into online accounting system (sales, deposits, invoices, etc.)
  • Managing payroll (for co-entrepreneurs and not-hired shadow shifts)
  • Utilizing QuickBooks to update AR accounts and marking payments
  • Prepare and verify AP when inputting invoices and sending out checks
  • Reports to Helene and Thomas Stohr the co-founder and owners of swissbäkers Inc. The position requires supporting them with their daily tasks.

Support

Objective:
As the final puzzle piece to tie all of the swissbäkers team together, the supporters help to maintain the high quality and efficiency throughout the swissbäkers facilities. Helping the movers and shakers with dishes, cleaning, and maintaining machinery is what makes the support position such a crucial part of the swissbäkers co-entrepreneurial team.

Responsibilities:

  • Dishwashing
  • Cleaning front and back of the house and around facility include patisserie
  • Maintain bathrooms periodically throughout the day
  • Assist in all areas including production, baking, and catering whenever an extra pair of hands is required
